Mr. Bhagirath Das works in the areas of agricultural extension, innovation systems, and rural livelihood development, with a focus on understanding how farmers access and use agricultural information in knowledge-intensive production systems. His prior research has examined nutrition-sensitive agriculture, including the role of millets in improving dietary diversity, and the structural and behavioural factors influencing farmer decision-making and advisory use in agriculture.

He is currently involved in research on agro-ecotourism for sustainable livelihood development, livelihood diversification through Integrated Farming Systems (IFS), and scaling of agricultural innovations in the North-Eastern region of India. His work also applies psychometric approaches and behavioural frameworks to study innovation adoption and farmer decision processes.

He also contributes to undergraduate teaching and capacity building, delivering courses and training on communication skills, personality development, entrepreneurship development, and business communication.

Research Interests: Agricultural extension, psychometrics in social science research, innovation decision-making, scaling of agricultural innovations, digital advisory systems, and sustainable rural livelihoods.
