History

The story of ICAR-IARI Assam begins in the Union Budget of 2014–15, when the then Finance Minister announced the establishment of two new IARI-like institutions — one in Assam and one in Jharkhand — to extend India's premier agricultural research capacity to regions historically underserved by agricultural science.
