ICAR-IARI Assam encourages physical fitness and team spirit through its sports and recreation facilities. The institute sports ground hosts regular sporting activities. In December 2023, ICAR-IARI Assam sent its first-ever sports contingent to the ICAR Zonal Sports Tournament at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack.
